Library Borrowing Days
We thought it may be helpful to remind you of your child’s borrowing day so that they can remember to return their books and bring their library bags.
Monday – Year 7
Tuesday – Year 3 and Year 5
Wednesday – Prep, Year 2 and Year 6 Gold
Thursday – Year 6 Green, Year 4 and Year 1
We have some new books for borrowing , including picture books and chapter books. Some lucky children have already borrowed these. We always have new titles arriving all the time so there is a wide range to suit every reader in the school.
The Library will soon commence overdue notices. These notices are just a reminder that students have an overdue book. We ask for your cooperation in returning books promptly. Of course children may renew their loans if they are still reading their books.
Reading with your Children
Reading aloud and sharing stories with your child is a great way to spend time together. Even better, reading and storytelling helps promote language, literacy and brain development. Take some time to read with your children, or alternatively talk with them about what they are currently reading. After all, we all spend way too much time watching TV, so take a few precious minutes each day, turn off the television or computer and READ!
Bookclub operates at least eight times per year, usually twice per term. Brochures are sent home with students. Simply select any books your child would like and return the order form to school (by the due date), with correct payment. Alternatively, payment can be made online, and the receipt number recorded on the order form. The school sends all the orders in together and the books are delivered to the school. Books are then delivered to students to take home. The Library is able to hold an order and deliver to parents if the item is for a special occasion, just make note of this on the order form. The school receives a percentage of all orders to obtain resources for the school. Thank you for your support.
